Printing labels

Last updated on 15 Jul, 2026

Open EasyLink → Labels for whole-catalog printing, or use the Print labels section on any code page for a single product. You can also jump straight to labels from product, variant, and collection pages in Shopify admin.

Choosing a layout

  • 25 built-in presets cover the common cases: Avery sheets (5160, 5163, 5167, L7160, L7161, L7162, L7651 and more), A4 layouts, and thermal rolls (Dymo, Zebra, Brother, 2"×1", 4×6 shipping, and others).

  • Custom labels: define your own label size, page size, grid, margins and gaps if your stock isn't in the list.

  • A live preview shows exactly what will print before you download anything.

What goes on each label

Every label always carries the scannable code and the human-readable GTIN. You choose the rest:

  • Product title and variant

  • SKU

  • Price — fetched live from Shopify at the moment you print, never stale

  • Your logo (upload once in Settings)

  • Code type — automatic (recommended), or force QR / Data Matrix

  • Layout and size — code left or top, code scale, padding

Quantities

  • One label per variant — the default for a catalog run.

  • A repeated sheet for one product — set a quantity on the code page (e.g. 30 copies of one label).

  • Inventory-driven quantities — print exactly as many labels per variant as you have stock (available or on-hand), so a labelling run matches the shelf.

Fresh data, guaranteed

At print time EasyLink re-checks every variant against Shopify. If a barcode changed since your last audit and is no longer a valid, unique GTIN, that variant is skipped and reported rather than printed wrong. Titles, SKUs, and prices always come from live data, not a cache.

Print quality tips

  • Print at 100% scale ("actual size") — never "fit to page", which breaks label-sheet alignment.

  • The codes include the quiet zone (white border) that scanners require — don't crop it.

  • On very small labels EasyLink automatically uses Data Matrix so the code stays reliably scannable.

  • After your first print run of a new preset, scan one label with your phone before applying the rest.
