Privacy, data and uninstalling

Full policy: 506.io/easylink/privacy. The essentials:

Your customers' privacy

EasyLink collects no customer data. The app never requests access to your customers or orders, and people who scan your codes are not tracked: the resolver records only the product scanned, the time, the outcome, and a country code. No names, no IP addresses stored, no precise location, no cookies.

What EasyLink stores about your store

  • Your store's domain and plan

  • Your product catalog's barcode data (the audit results) and your published links

  • Your label and passport settings (including an uploaded logo, if any)

  • Aggregated scan counts per product per day

Product details like titles, SKUs, and prices are read live from Shopify when needed (for example at print time) rather than kept in long-term storage.

Where it lives

EasyLink runs on Cloudflare's global infrastructure. Billing runs entirely through Shopify. Transfers out of the UK/EEA are covered by standard contractual safeguards — details in the policy.

Uninstalling

Uninstall from Shopify admin → Apps like any app. Within 30 days of Shopify's data-erasure notice, everything EasyLink holds about your store is deleted — including your published resolver records, after which your codes stop resolving on 506.link.

Before uninstalling, think about printed codes. Labels and packaging in circulation are permanent; once your data is deleted, scanning them shows a "not registered" page instead of your product. If you have significant printed stock in the wild, consider staying on the Free plan (published codes stay live) rather than uninstalling.
